The teachers show and touch the bodyparts (This is...head) + doing the “bodypart” song together. Initially, teachers perform the gestures indicated in the song. If the children learn quickly, the teachers can leave the circle and allow them greater autonomy.
At the beginning of each round, the teacher gives an instruction on how to move (for example walking like a spider, doing jumping jacks, taking giant steps, or hopping like a frog). Then, the music starts and the children move around the space using the movement that was given. When the music stops, everyone must freeze immediately. Right after that, the teacher says the name of a body part in English, such as “knee” or “ear” and the children must quickly touch that part on their own body. Each time the music restarts, the way of moving changes. At the beginning, the teacher touches the named body parts.
One child is chosen as the caller and stands at one end of the playing area, facing away from the other players, who stand in a line some distance behind. The caller begins by saying one, two, three, and a body part. If someone moves after the body part is called or doesn't touch the correct body part, they must take three steps back. The caller then turns around again and the game continues with another body part. The first player to reach the caller wins the game. The teacher can suggest some body parts.
